What is a GREEN event?
A green event is one where thought has gone into each element to make it more
sustainable.
Consideration is given for more than just the financial bottom line including the
environmental and social impacts of each of the event elements.

Evaluating Your Elements• Is there a local option?

• What is it made of?
• Where did it come from?
• Where will it end up?
Exercise Debrief

• What was the biggest challenge? Maintaining vision? Staying on budget? Re-orienting your thinking?
What Does Sustainable Look Like?
• Sustainable SHOULD look like any other event
• It’s the STORY behind your event that makes the difference, so tell your story AT the event!
