about his health.
In this activity, you can hear what doctors hear when they
listen to a normal heart, a heart with a heart murmur, and a heart with aortic stenosis.
The activities in this app use cool audiovisual effects to teach you
something! There are even high-speed games in the app such as a game where your
monster has to avoid bad foods and catch good foods. There are in-depth videos about the heart.

This app is expensive but it is one of the best anatomy apps out there. (You can play for free on our iPads at Central
Library!)
The upper picture is of the kidneys and bladder. It
changes when you click on the skeleton icon, to show where the kidneys sit in relation to
other body systems. Click the brain icon and you will see
nerves; click the arm icon and you will see muscles, etc.
Learn in depth how the body’s systems work, and go on a
video tour of each one

In this app you are given a series of challenges, and a set
of tools for engineering a solution to that challenge. It’s trickier than it sounds! There is also a “learn” section in the
app that provides some background on the scientific terms and physics concepts
used in the game.

Another very tricky, mind-bending app that you will want to spend hours on! You have to
create a Rube Goldberg machine, a machine that
accomplishes a simple task with a ridiculous amount of complex work. But in these puzzles, there is really only
one right answer, and you will literally spend hours racking your brain to find it. You are given a tutorial and a set of
tools to use. Your knowledge of physics and simple
machines will go far in solving these puzzles.
