1) Let´s start by the first design. Draw a circle and divide it into six equal parts. Youalready know how to do this. You will get two equilateral triangles positioned as youcan see in the image below

Page 3: Gothic blog

2) Join points 2 to 5 and 3 to 6 and get rid of the auxiliary arches. Look at the threepoints you get from the intersections between the sides and the diameters. They are labeled in the image as O1, O2 and O3

3) Place the compass on point O1, take radius O11 and draw a circle. Repeat thesame from points O2 and O3. At this point, you should have got something like theimage below.

4) Erase everything you don´t need and you will have finished. This is the clover

5) The second one is going to be slightly different than the original. Draw again a circle and divide it into 8 equal parts. Get the eight points star. You already know howto do this.

6) Draw a square inside the red one taking as a reference the points A, B, C, and D. You will get O1, O2, O3 and O4 on diameters 12 and 34.

7) Finally, draw the circles placing the compass on points O1, O2, O3 and O4 and radiusO11. You can tell that all the circles are equal
