They are VOLCANOES!

So what is a volcano?

a mountain or hill, typically conical, having a crater or vent through which lava, rock fragments, hot vapor, and gas are being or have been erupted

from the earth's crust.

Google EarthWith the help of Google earth we will be flying over all 5 volcanoes and finding some fun facts at each site.

Digging a little deeperAt the Mauna Kea Mt. top there is a Gemini Telescope.

Locate the Telescope.

Visit gemini.edu

Watch the video and locate the other telescope.

Return to Goole Earth and take a snap shot of each of the telescopes by pressing shift + command +4 at the same time. Draw a box around the telescope. This will save the picture to your computer.

Copy the picture to a document add your name and 3 more facts you found from the video.

Print and turn in!
