“Global Entrepreneurship Week”

on November 12-19 -2017

The purpose of the Global Entrepreneurship Week:

• Encouraging young entrepreneurs to choose the entrepreneurial path as a way of both personal, and social development.

• “Entrepreneurship Week” invites young people from all over the world to add innovation, imagination and creativity into their lives and inspires them to think "big", to make their ideas a reality, and leave their mark.

The beginning:

• “Global Entrepreneurship Week” is a project originating in England called: "Leave your mark"

• Running this project is the American “Kaufman Foundation”. This foundation has also expanded the project and bringing it to many countries around the world.

• Presidents, prime ministers and successful entrepreneurs support and encourage the activities occurring during this week.

Summary of Entrepreneurship Week in Israel 2016

During the 2016 Entrepreneurship Week, 524 events were held with the assistance of 67 organizations and companies. Over 35,000 participants spoke the “language of entrepreneurship”, participated in workshops and conferences, and met entrepreneurs who shared their personal and professional stories from their path to becoming entrepreneurs. How do schools mark Global Entrepreneurship Week?

• Opening / closing ceremonies for Entrepreneurship Week with the participation of the students, representatives of the school system from the community and the school staff itself.

• Lectures and lessons for the students and their parents, from entrepreneurs coming from different fields

• Lectures and workshops given by SpaceIL volunteers.

• Entrepreneurship classes, some of which will be taken from an entrepreneurship program for children.

• Lectures of mature students to young students about entrepreneurship.

How do schools mark Global Entrepreneurship Week?

• Students learning about projects and presenting them in class

• Experiential sessions regarding different entrepreneurship topics.

• Entrepreneurs will come and give the students’ parents lectures about entrepreneurship.

• Producing brochures / pamphlets about the uniqueness the school itself and Global Entrepreneurship Week.

• Schools will have their own hackathons
