I've found the Global Classroom project very much beneficial to bring the whole world to the classroom. Many new people, many new projects, many new ideas, great assistance in learning; fun and worthy. More than that I've opportunity to learn to integrate EdTech in teaching. It gives opportunity to have direct contact to the teachers and students. Lucky the EdTech users!
GC project is a great tool to integrate students into global education and enrich our teaching experiences with the help of dedicated teachers across the globe.

•To educate the children of South Africa and the rest of the world about these beautiful creatures.
•To raise awareness among the children of the world as to the plight of these gentle giants.
•To unite the voices of the children of the world in asking the powers that be i.e. governments,
organisations, institutions etc. to take IMMEDIATE action.
•To try to make a difference in our world and in the future existence of the rhinos, for the future of
our children

I wondered how I could share my passion for Genius Hour with others and provide an opportunity for students and educators to share their genius!

What have I gained from my first foray into Global projects over the last year?• Twitter is an amazingly powerful tool for connecting educators across the world . I have made
amazing connections such as Karen and Katy and feel honoured to work with them.• The children sense the ‘realness’ of the activities and are excited to make connections with
children from other countries.• The projects are a springboard for learning about new ways to present information in a digital,
global classroom.• Participating in projects changes your point of view when planning your own activities – you
can never go back! I am thrilled to be part of this community and I look forward to participating in other innovative projects.

• I participated in several of the projects and made many connections over the past two years
• My school is part of the Microsoft Partners in learning Innovative Schools program – we’ve been learning so much about 21st Century Learning Design – I’m really excited to meet like-minded educators which whom I can collaborate with on a Global scale! You are all amazing!
• I presented a workshop at one of our conferences that everyone contributed to, thanks so much! I am hoping to attract more teachers this coming school year.
