GIBRALTAR TODAY

After the Spanish Civil War, Gibraltar and Spain were separated by a gate. In 1985, Felipe González opened it and travelers and merchandises started to cross the border again. Many times the Spanish government has tried to recover Gibraltar again, but Gibraltarians and the UK refused. Currently, both countries are trying to reach an agreement about this matter, but Gibraltarians defend their rights as British citizens.
