Thothney Khola Community Forest

• Thothnye khola community forest is located in sarangkot-9.

• Established in 2050/ Baishak 2.• 153 houses with 81.5 hector of land.• There are 14 members where 7 women’s and

7 males. • There are 5 groups made with 10 members

each for Amriso and kurilo farming.• Per year 7-8 lakhs firewood's are used by

consumers itself.

• New plants are planted in Magh [maximum 10 days]

• Annual income is about 8000-9000.• 1 part of firewood’s and timber are sold.• Annual reports are also kept.Elected person can work for 3 year’s

continuously.Membership fee is annually Rs300.If anyone need extra timber or fiber then they

need to pay extra 100 rupees.

Migration

Migration (human) is the movement of people from one place in the

world to another for the purpose of taking up permanent or

Semi permanent residence, usually across a political boundary. An example

migrant farm laborers. People can either choose to move ("voluntarymigration") or be forced to move ("involuntary migration").

Migrations have occurred throughout human history, beginning with the movements of the

Definition of 'Remittance'The process of sending money to fufill an

obligation. This is most often done through an electronic network, wire transfer or mail. The term also refers to the amount of money being sent to remove the obligation.

If you were to send money to a friend in Europe through a wire-transfer service, the sum of the payment is the remittance.

Impact of remittance in the living standard of people in Ghandruk.

To find out the change in knowledge, skills, ideas and attitudes of incoming migrants.

To analyze the consequences of migration in the community. (Potential of tourism leads to increment in internal migration from business point of view).

To find out the level of remittance inflow and its consequences in Ghandruk.

To find out the consequences of migration in Ghandruk.

To find out the destination country of the migrants.

To find the level of vocational training that they have acquired in their community.

To find out the mode of remittance transfer.To find out the age, gender and ethnicity of the

migrants and their purpose of migration.

LIMITATIONS of the Study

Time constraints.Limited Number of sample size.They were reluctant to answer.Available samples were not educated.

Conclusion

People of Ghandruk are creeping towards development.

Living standard & Economic Sustainability.Remittance inflow is high as a result of which

demand is high and consumption pattern is increasing.

They are now aware about the importance and need of vocational trainings(ACAP).

Capitalizing these ideas into agricultural areas & livestocks.

How ever , some o f the were complaining about “tax burden” imposed on them.

Community lack adequate no. of youths.Need to maintain strict administrative rules

and reforms from the government side to maintain Ghandruk as a Best Tourism HUB.
