Gear up to Move Your Children to Dubai

Moving from one country to another can be very

challenging for you and your entire family.

Imagine the plight of children as they have to

leave all their fantasies, their peer group and all

the things they love about the country and travel

to a strange land. Dubai is a new land altogether

and kids need to be prepared for their expat

status. Here’s how you can help your

daughter/son before moving on to Dubai:

1. Talk to the children about the decision

to move - Tell your children about their

decision to move to Dubai as early as possible. This will help the kids to ponder over it

properly and keep them prepared for the Dubai surprise.

2. Listen to Your Child - The more you listen to them, the better. As it’s a completely new

place we’re talking about, your kids may have a multitude of queries. Listen and answer each

one of them with the utmost patience to keep your kids happy while travelling.

3. Talk positively about Dubai and its culture - Use positive language and phrases while

describing Dubai to your kids. Talk positively about the way of life and culture in Dubai to

instill some amount of excitement in your kids.

4. Introduce your preschooler to the preschools in Dubai – You can check out the preschool

online and show the pages to your kids. In that way, they will catch a brief idea of what they

can expect as they step into a new Nursery school in Dubai.

5. Include the kids in all your discussions – Take your kid’s opinion on every matter you

discuss about settling in Dubai. This will help them feel good and they may happily come to

Dubai.

6. Introduce them to the Arabic language – Considering that you’re shifting to Dubai, it is

important that your children learn the Arabic language to gel well with the people in Dubai.

7. Make a list of the things your Child would need in Dubai – There are certain things that

you may not get in Dubai, so you need to sit down with your child and create a list

beforehand. You need to fix your kids let go of certain things with a smile on their face.

8. Let them know about the extra-curricular Nursery activities in Dubai – Right from

sports, to dancing in the theater, let your child know about the interesting stuff in Dubai so

that they anticipate good things in Dubai.

Keep these tips in mind and have your child move to Dubai happily as part of an expat

family.
