• Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa (Italy) on 15th February 1564 and died on 8th January 1642.

• He was a scientist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher. He contributed to an important development in the scientific revolution.

• Sometimes the people call him the inventor of astronomy observation, of modern physics and modern science.

• His heliocentric theory, says that the Sun is thecentre of the Universe. He was the scientistwho approached more to the true position of the stars in the Universe.

• The Holy Inquisition executed Galilei becausehe was against the church dogmas.

• The Holy Church prohibites the book of theheliocentric theory. Until 2000 the HolyChurch didn’t accept the heliocentric theoryof Galilei.
