Proof of the Application of the Principles of Learning

1. Learning is an experience which occurs inside the learner is activated by the learner.

My Analysis

With the observance of the teachers of the 9 principles of learning, the teaching-

learning process really went well. Teaching is very effective since the students were

engage in various activities that catered their diversified needs in learning. It may take

time but in the end, teaching will be worth it for there is a big assurance that learning of

the students will be multiplied. These principles have a big impact to the students in such

way that the students will actively be involved for the whole period. Thus, they can learn

more.

Among the 9 principles of learning, I think the first principle was applied most

since almost the whole class; the teachers let the thinking and exploring be done by the

students. Most often, the teachers ask their students questions in order to clearly be

understood by the students.

The principle of learning that was not applied was the third principle since it’s my

very first time to observe the teachers in those classes.

I agree with all the principles of learning because teaching should be student-

centered. Also, it embraces all the learning needs of students. In fact, it is a need for a

teacher to observe all the principles in every teaching process so that teaching and

learning could occur in a most effective manner.

My Reflections

Yes, all my Resource Teachers adhere to the principles of learning. Both of them

employed activities which are relevant to the needs of the students. They both abide with

the principles basing on the students’ performances shown. All of them are active during

the discussion. They adhere since it is a mandate for teachers to support that learning

should be learner-centered.

Lessons I have learned from my observations on the classroom application of the

principles of learning are as follows;

I learned that teaching is not effective if students are not totally engaged.

I learned that it is time consuming.

I learned that students should really be given diversified activities in order to cater

all their needs.

I learned that learning takes place a long period of time.
