VOCABULARY CATERPILLAR-it is the larva of a butterfly or a moth. EMERGE- to come out something. LARVA- it is the second stage of metamorphosis during
which an insect is wormlike and has new wings. METAMORPHOSIS- series of development stages of often
marked by body changes. MOLTING- shedding of the skin so that the larva can
grow. PUDDING- when butterflies crawl all over the ground near
shallow water. PUPA- third stage of life cycle when larva larges into an
adult also called as CHRYSALIS.

Metamorphosis is profound change in form from one stage to the next in the life of animal. A butterfly goes
into complete metamorphosis. Complete metamorphosis is defined as having a four stages.
Insects goes to incomplete metamorphosis, which is defined as having three stages an example would be
the Grasshopper.
