Frozen Pizza Home-made Pizzatime takes 20min

(without purchasing)takes 1h(without purchasing)

pastry consists of flour/yeast/salt/oil/sugar/ water consists of water/yeast/flour/salt/oil

production - pastry is milled- formed- freezer- tomato sauce- cheese- covering- oven to melt the cheese- sausage at the end- freezer for 30 min-> you can eat it for 11 months- packaging

-mix all the ingredients-formed-[no freezer]-tomato sauce-covering (as well sausage)-cheese- oven to bake the pizza-[no freezer]

-> you can eat it for 3 days

The energy input of the home-made pizza is less, because you don‘t freeze it. Thus, home-made pizza is not just more delicious than frozen pizza, it is also better for our environment.

The most bought frozen pizza in Germany: “Wagner Steinofen Pizza” (with salami)

Ingredients: wheat flour, cut up tomatoes (28%), edam cheese (17%), salami (12%) , water, rape oil, full-cream milk powder, yeast, salt, sugar, herb , soya lecithin (also called E322) and dextrose (emulsifiers: are needed for mixing water and oil)

→ No additives for better taste→ No additives for longer storage

2. Pizza: survey consumption

Page 14: Food production germany

• people who suffer from lactose intolerance cannot eat full-cream milk powder

• people who are allergic to soya cannot eat soya lecithin• sugar and dextrose are unhealthy and people get used to this sweet food

that is not good for their health• they use cheap products (edam cheese and rape oil) instead of quality

ones (Emmenthaler and olive oil)Frozen pizza is not the worst option for “emergency food” but

with home-made pizza you can choose your own ingredients and have fun preparing it.
