Destiny Testimonial2015-2016 was a learning year for me. I became our school’s new librarian after

teaching at the school for seven years. Though the transition was smooth, I had to learn plenty on my own. It was quite overwhelming. I had just began my LSSL courses so I wasn’t aware of

many things. Thank goodness for Destiny. It was so simple to navigate and learn. I researched it’s pros and cons and I can sincerely say there’s more good than bad.

One of the major points for me was the educating and modeling the use of Destiny with the student body. Though the upper grades knew their way around it, it was just as simple to educate our lower grades on its uses. Though the steps are lengthy, it is just a matter of getting accustomed to the process. Within a couple of weeks, most of our students were able to search for books, e-books, and other. With a meer use of a word, title, or author, a student can find what he/she is searching for and become aware of the availability of such. And as for me, the maintaining of our library’s inventory and what we have to offer is just a few clicks and strokes away.
