Summary

Braille is a very useful device for people who are blind or having a vision loss. It is the primary medium of reading and writing using their sense of touch. Through the use of Braille, many people who are blind can access information faster and perform tasks that involve reading or writing effectively. It is an effective tool to use at school, workplace or anywhere. Knowing Braille makes it possible for people or students who are blind to read and take notes independently, and live as normal as possible.

Page 24: Five Minute Presentation

SummaryMany of these disorders are diagnosed during

childhood. Patients may struggle in academic settings and may have problems with social interaction. Many children with these disorders show dramatic improvement by adolescence. However, people with severe communication disorders may experience ongoing challenges to their ability to function as independent adults.

Conclusion

It is definitely a challenge working with students who have an emotional disorder. But educators can have success with children who have emotional disturbances if they get support from co-workers and consistently implement behavioral strategies and classroom management techniques.

Now with High or Low Technology

Page 40: Five Minute Presentation

I can see that using high or low technology….. People of all ages can have a better way of

dealing with each other.People can communicate near and far.Students will have options to use some of these

technologies to help them with their education. Parents may assist their children with their

homework, and motivate them that learning is fun through the use of computer.

Teachers will utilize this technology to better guide and meet the needs of every student in the classroom.

Thank you!

This presentation is dedicated to Dr. Jacqui Cyrus.

Many “thanks to you” for teaching us about Assistive Adaptive Technology.

This technology knowledge will surely help me to accommodate my students to meet their individual needs.

I will utilize this technology to communicate with my friends and family on- and off-island.
