What is First Aid?
First Aid is immediate treatement or care give to the person from sickness,illness,burns or injury untill advaced care give to person or person required.
Who is First Aid Professional? First Aid Professional is a person who
has successfully completed a nationally accredited training course or an equivalent level of training that has given them the competencies required to administer first aid.
AID Means
A-Ask for help I-Intervene D-Do no further harm
Main Objectives of First Aid:
1.To alleviate suffering
2.To prevent added/further injury or danger
3.To prolong Life
Responibilites of First Aider
Ensure your current First Aid Certificate Information is posted at your Department's First Aid Station (include your room location, phone extension and expiry date).
As a first aider you are expected to respond to first aid emergencies within the limits of your training.
Purpose of training
This Training is to help you to think clearly during times of emergency when no other care or care giver is avaliable
