Patrick AndersonImagine Dragons- “Demons”
Babylonia, Assyria, and Persia
There was a city named Babylonia
It was a center of trade
It was so rich because it was a
Crossroads in between countries
Assyria to the north
Sumer to the south
They thought they were good
But really they were trapped
They still had lots of money
But that’s no good
When you are being invaded
When you are being invaded
Assyria came in
And they had one goal
They tried to take over
They tried to take over
Babylonia----
They had no chance
Babylonia no more
Babylonia no more
Assyria was now
All powerful
No one dared to try and fix their roles
Assyria was under threat
Because their land was open
And easy to attack
So Assyria became skilled
They made the battle ram
And used their arrows
And had helmets
And their big swords
That they swung around
But wait who is that
IT’S BABYLONIA!
Babylonia came back
Twice as powerful
Thanks to the king
King Nebuchadnezzar
He protected Babylonia
With all his life
He surrounded it with walls
So no one could invade
Babylonia was now the center
of the continent
It had large castles and big gardens,
The city was back on track
With education
But wait hold the phone
WHAT ABOUT PERSIA!
Persia was a city that flourished greatly
They worshipped one God
They spread their religion through trade
The freed the Jews
That Babylonia captured
Today Persia shapes our
Modern civilization
