BURTON’S THEORY

Using Burton’s theory, I have colour coded my film synopsis and the result is that I have followed the codes and conventions of a film synopsis, although I have not delved deeper into my stock characters situations but the stock characters, plot, setting, antagonist and protagonist are outlined. Although our protagonist is not visible within our synopsis, which allows the viewer to in the future, decide who they think the protagonist is. The antagonist, who the film is named after is central in our synopsis as she is central in our film and the main character within the film. We give her a background, we outline what part she plays in the film whilst not giving everything away and she is the one who has to be taken down in order to return to equilibrium.
