Jára Cimrman (1856-1914) is the most

popular imaginary Czech genius, but some people believe in him. This film

is about his life.

His father was a Czech tailor Leopold Cimrman. He was about 50 years older than Cimrman´s mother. Her name was Marlen Cimrman. She

was an Austrian actress. When

Cimrman was young, his parents told him,

that he was a girl, because they were poor and he had to

wear his older sister´s clothes. (His sister´s

name was Luisa)

So, he went to the girls school. When he was older, he started thinking about boys

and girls. „Why am I different than my classmates?“ He said it to his teacher and she said to him: You aren´t a girl, you are a boy! So he had left school.

He was very clever. He inspired the most important artists and inventors (Anton Pavlovič Čechov, Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, Malchese Guglielmo

Marconi,….) and he helped them with their work and inventions.

But his inventions weren´t patented. All his inventions were patented a few minutes before him by other inventors. He didn´t patent:Telephone- patented by Alexander Graham BellCinematograph- patented by brothers Auguste and Louis LumiérBulb- patented by Thomas A.EdisonDynamite- patented by Alfred Bernhard Nobel

Ferdinand d´Este´s children. F. F. d´Este was the heir to the Austro-hungarian

throne. Cimrman wrote him an inaugural speech.

Cimrman tried to assassinate František Josef I., but he wasn´t successful. At assassinate doppelgangers were discovered of F.F. d´Este and František Josef I

and F.F. d´Este released Cimrman.

Cimrman started to write theatre plays and he played them with his

acters collegues. The most popular theatre play is Vichr z hor

(Wind from mountains).

He went to Liptákov village. He was the teacher of his sister, but she died. Cimrman started to teach in a small village school.

In 1914 Jára Cimrman left the village
