Iaşi Feast Iasi becomes the place for the Romanian

Orthodoxy every year, for a week in the middle of October.

Thousands of worshippers and pilgrims come from all over the country to Iasi to celebrate Saint Parascheva around 14th October . They also come from Moldavia, Russia, Greece and Bulgaria.

The 14th of October has become a special holiday in Iasi since 1641, when the relics of Saint Parascheva were brought from Constantinople.

The four centuries that passed have done nothing but intensified the people’s awe towards Saint Parascheva, so that its holiday produces one of the greatest Orthodox pilgrimages

The County celebrates Iasi Feast by organizing various contests, exhibitions and seminars. The institutions also coordinate events in this period.

The International Education Festival–

IEF Iaşi 2013

In the city with some of the most important voices of the Romanian theatre, of music and literature, in the city of science, technology and creative industries, culture and education find by means of IEF various forms of expression, in a multicultural language, with and for young people.

The purpose of IEF Iaşi 2013 is to enable a creative and energetic context in order to promote culture, the people, cultural and educational activities and to involve children and young people in the life of the community.The festival included

theatre, music, opera, dancing, Visual arts, A fringe festival, A Book festival for children and teenagers, Conferences and motivational meetings.
