Robots, androids, AI.

Robots, Androids, AI

A. Robots and autómata:A robot is a computer-programmed machine that performs actions, manipulate objects, etc.

Robots can be automatons, whose basic components are similar to the human body.

Joints: Connecting moving parts.

Actuators : Create movement.

End effectors : They have tools or forceps.

Sensors: They transmit the information to the central system.

computer system: The brain directs the actions.

B) Uses of robots:

Robots are useful in activities that are too dangerous, too boring or too precise for humans.

Robots in the industry. Robotic arms are used in the automotive industry for painting, welding and assembling car parts. Robots are also used in the assembly of electronic microchips in which the precision of movement is essential.

+ As we

can see the

arm of a robot is welding

Robots and space:Planetary Rovers, remotely operated vehicles, are used to explore space.

Robots and health:Surgical robots; they are programmed to help

human surgeons, very delicate movements.

Robots and safety: Mobile robots are used for bomb and hazardous materials.

C. Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is the science that tries to recreate the human thought process and build machines that perform tasks that normally require human intelligence

Android: anthropomorphic robots are designed to look and behave like a human being. Most android can walk, talk and understand human language.

Expert system: expert is the term given to software on your computer that mimics human reasoning.

Neural networks are a new concept in computer programming, designed to replicate the human capacity.
