What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Research – Artofthetitle.com Used to research how to produce an effective opening title sequence,

and how professional ones look – the order of different titles and credits, the positioning of them, etc.

It was easy to use, understand, and find clips but at the same time it was very professional, and they used example of OTSs from real films, such as Evil Dead.

Planning – Slideshare.com and PowerPoint An online presentation application that you upload PowerPoint

presentations on. This helped us with our planning because this enabled us to upload

everything that we needed for our planning (e.g. the storyboards, script, etc.) and put it on the blog.

This helped to organise our planning and our research effectively, so that we were able to use it in the construction of our OTS.

Construction – iMovie We used this to edit our first draft (shown on next slide) It’s easy, straightforward and relatively quick to use (but it doesn’t have

many features), and makes the OTS look quite good. They had a few sound effects to make the setting feel realistic, as well as

good transitions, visual effects, funky titles and credits.

Construction – Final Cut Pro Used this application for our second and final drafts. We used this for our final draft because it makes the final product look very

professional, editing is easier, and you can be more precise with the editing, because you can extend the clips.

Its used by professional film makers worldwide because it is an effective editing product, that has got a variety of effects (including the ones in iMovie) and many more. For example, you can slow down time.

Evaluation – Prezi.com I used this technology to create my first evaluation question answer. It’s unique in that you can customise the way your presentation is presented – e.g.

you can change the box shape that your text is in, etc. It’s very easy to use and can make a presentation quickly – can finish one

professionally in minutes.
