Q3) What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I have chosen Warner Bros. as my institution. Warner Bros. is one of the major film studios and it produces and distributes 18-22 films each year. Furthermore, Warner Bros. carry out its own digital distribution and have Anti-Piracy Operation businesses to protect the content of films. Warner bros. usually produce suspense action films and I have also made my film on the same genre. Warner Bros. has produced several successful films like “Harry Potter”, “Man of Steel”, “The Matrix Reloaded” etc so there is a possibility that if Warner bros. distribute my movie, it would be a great hit, because people are attracted by the name of big Hollywood studios. I have taken reference from few of the Warner Bros. suspense-action movies like “Dark Knight Rises” movie have low key lighting whenever there is an element of suspense or action. Similarly, I have used low key lighting to give my movie a “suspense touch”.

Many Warner Bros movies have won Academy Awards for Best Picture. Best Picture is considered the most important of the Academy Award as it represents all the directing, acting, music composing, writing, editing and other efforts put into the film. Movies that have won the awards are “GoodFellas”, “JFK”, “Argo” etc and all these movies have action as their sub genre like my movie. Again there is a possibility that Warner Bros. would distribute my film due to the similarity in our genre.
