Cameron Colquhoun Evaluation on Preliminary Task The idea for the meeting was formed easily but a lot of thought was put into the storyboard which proved at first to be challenging with putting in what shot angles I wanted plus if I should include the use of sound or not. During the filming a lot of thought had to be put in, especially not to break the 180 degree rule. I used many shots like over the shoulder shot during the characters initial interaction plus over the shoulder and low angle which when viewed in editing, it looked very effective. Editing took longer when establishing the order of the clips than I wanted it to as this had to run seamlessly to make sure the audience couldn’t notice the camera shot changes etc. but in the end worked very well together especially with the use of sound to build tension and atmosphere. The only thing I would improve next time would be the footage quality since once it was at the editing stage it looked blurry which ruined the look I was hoping for. The other obstacle I ran into was adding match on action which I had to go back to re- film to make sure I had it but once it was on there the film was greatly improved.
