Evaluation6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Technology, in terms of media, is defined as means through which media products are created and distributed.

At this stage, it connotes the hardware and software we use to create our movies.

TECHNOLOGY DEFINITION

A Canon EOS 600D with an 18-55mm lens was the DSLR camera used to produce my film .

In my film I used natural lighting instead of artificial lighting.

A tripod was also used. There was no use of an additional

microphone in filming except for that of the camera itself.

ELEMENTS USED IN MY FILM

The software I made use of to edit and convert my film to AVI was Adobe Premiere Pro.

The computer used was a PC with a Dell monitor and Optiplex 9010 CPU.

The soundtracks I used were downloaded from Freesound.org.

To produce the film, the lens I used on my camera was an 18-55mm lens. This allowed me to capture a wide angle shots as well as close up shots.

A tripod helped me capture the video with negligible or no camera shake at all.

Shooting outdoors in the daytime gave my video a bright and clear look.

Although there is no use of an additional microphone , the audio in my clip is clear.

USAGE OF TECHNOLOGY

The use of the program Adobe Premiere Pro game me full control over the editing of my movie . I was able to:

Cut unrequired clips. Remove unwanted

sounds. Add soundtracks. Add subtitles and credits. I was able to download

suitable soundtracks for my movie from Freesound.org
