How did you work within your role?

Main Character

From our meetings, I understood what my character needed to portray and how I had to do this. I was given clear instructions from the director and this helped me work good within my role.

How did you work with in the team?

Our level of communication within our group was very good therefore I understood what the director wanted from my character, this helped me create my character portfolio and convey this within our production.

What challenges did you experience?

Our filming took a total of 2 ½ hours, which was two lessons, on the second lesson because I didn't wear black jeans we couldn't film me walking in because you would see two different coloured jeans in the previous shots , therefore as we was running out of time we came up with the solution of filming me mid shot of the upper body.

My role didn't consist of me using the equipment a lot, however I did have input in the planning of the task.

I also helped set up. we used two lights, key light and back light. We made the room we was filming in dark this was very important for our task because we needed to add effect.

How did you find using the equipment?

Did you set the camera to manual or automatic settings? We set the camera to automatic while we was filming

the audition which both characters were involved in because we had a lot of different shots to do and this just made it easier. But when we was filming me walking into the audition room we set the camera on manual because we was trying to emphasis on the characters feeling and to try show how nervous she was.

What worked well in the filming process? We constructed our shots with great deal of

consideration of our subject, observing the conventions of framing. We used low key lighting illuminating the subject however minimal lighting on the background to convey the importance of the character.
