CHARLES DICKENS• He was born in Portsmouth
in 1812.• Easy style work.• In 1833 Dickens started to
write about London life.• Dickens used her novels for
complain about depressing living conditions.

OSCAR WILDE• He was born in 1856 in
Dublin.• He was a writer, poet and
playwright.• He spoke English, German

ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE• He was born in 1859 in
Edimburgh.• He was famous for creating
the fictional detective of “Sherlock Holmes”.
• He wrote four novels about Sherlock Holmes.
• In 1900 he wrote his longest book: “La guerra de los Bóers”
• He died of a heart attack at the age of 71.

• He was born in 1872.• His fame came with the piece “Fantasy on a

THE BEATLES• The band was formed in
Liverpool in 1960.• John Lennon (rhythm guitar,
vocals); Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals),George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals).
• Their last concert was the 29th of August in 1966 in St. Francisco.

• It’s a British rock band formed in 1971.

OASIS• It was formed in 1991.• Gallagher’s brothers were the
leaders and song writers.• It is considered one of the British
musical groups of their country.• 28th August 2009 after an
argument between the Gallagher’s brothers, Noel decide to leave the band.
• After some speculations the band changed its name to Beady Eye.
• Recently has started his solo career.
COLDPLAY• The band was formed in 1996
in London.• Chris Martin (vocals,
keyboard, guitar), Jon Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums).
• Coldplay have been an active supporter of various social and political causes.
• The band has won a number of music awards throughout their career.
