Question area of ‘Comprehension’ Comprehension questions are vocabulary based. A suitable title for paragraph is asked. Few are indirect questions; answer is not given directly in
the passage.

Lecture 01 Let’s start with Phrase, idioms, clause, sentence, Verb. I want a cup of tea, It is raining cats and dogs Rain tree is found throughout the country./ If you go, I will go. / The patient had died before the doctor
came. sentence : simple, complex and compound. verb: finit-I go Non finit I want to go.
‘Ing’ : Continuous, gerund, p. participle/ He is swimming/ Swimming is good exercise/ I saw a
swimming boy.
Lecture 01Now practice:Basic rules : * 1 sub. and 1 f. verb is must to form sentence. Ex.The police
need/ to need a witness to make an ID. ** Clause Marker --- 2 sub. and 2 f. verb. Ex.Dolphins and whales are mammals those live/ living in water.
*** subordinate Clause never interrogative. Interg-- Auxiliary verb before sub. Ex./Do you know?/ Congress decided how much money the gov. will spend/ will
the gov. Spend.**** But ‘?’ mark can be stood if principal clause itself is
iterrogative. Ex. Do you kow why does he come?/why he comes./ why he comes?
