The CeltsThe Celts arrived 500BC.They were from the centre arable fields .They lived in villages .The Celts were very warlike. They attacked other Celtic tribes and Britain.

The Romans• The Romans invaded second .They came here 2000 years ago .They

were in England for 400 years .They left in 430AD .They changed Britain in many ways .

The Anglo -Saxons

After the Romans left Britain was defenceless .Anglo –Saxons tribes were called the Jutes. They left their hometown(Germany ,Denmark and Holland )to attack Britain .They ruled most of Britain but they never concurred Cornwall in the south west ,Wales in the west and Scotland in the north.

Modern Britain

1837-Queen Victoria queen at the age of 18.1840-first postage came into use .1842-mines act ended child labour. 1850-the first post boxes were built.1854-the demand for proper sewages in cities.
