ELEMENTS OF VISUAL ARTS

TextureIn art, tetxure is the surface quality or

appearance of a work; how the surface feels or how a work looks like it would feel. And also, texture is one of the formal art elements, can be experienced by the senses of sight and touch.

Perspective (visual)

is the way in which objects appear to the eye based on their spatial attributes. Or simply, it is the appearance of objects to an observer allowing for the effect of their distance from the observer.

Linear Perspective and

Aerial Perspective

Linear Perspective

the branch of perspective in which the apparent size and shape of objects and their position with respect to foreground and background are established by actual or suggested lines converging on the horizon. As objects become more distant they appear smaller because their visual angle decreases.

AERIAL PERSPECTIVE

refers to the effect the atmosphere has on the appearance of an object as it is viewed from a distance. (for example, at sunrise or sunset distant colors may shift towards red).
