Front Cover

This is the original and edited version of my front cover for my magazine. I have made a few changes to the image, mainly the effects. The first aspect I edited, was the slight flaws, this being the spots on her face, and the fly away’s of her hair that you can see on her shirt on the original image. I also increased the contrast and saturation of the image, which gives it a more defined and sharp effect. I also experimented with the logo/name of my magazine, to visually test if the masthead would suit the image and all of the new effects.

Contents page

This is the image I will be using for my contents page. Again, I have edited it similarly to my front cover. I have increased the contrast and slightly decreased the brightness, as I wanted this page to look significant against the text and content that would later be added. Like I did last time, I removed any spots or other aspects that would allow the image to look less professional. I added my masthead again, just to give some idea of the beginning layout of the contents page for when I later come onto creating the content and further designs.

Double Page Spread

This image will be used as part as my double page spread. I will either keep this on the right or left page, or extend it so that the image will be on the right hand side of the page, but still extending over both pages with the same effect. I increased the brightness and contrast of the original picture. I also used the spot healing tool to take away any aspects or imperfections like the fly away’s of her hair and spots on her face to allow her to look professional and to give her the celebrity look.
