ABIOTIC COMPONENTS

components that are nonliving in an ecosystem.

Types of Ecosystem AQUATIC ECOSYSTEM – It consists of

plants and animals interacting with water or aquatic environment.

TERRESTRIAL ECOSYSTEM – It consists of land organisms like plants and animals living and interacting with the land environment.

Types of Ecosystem

COMMUNITY SUCCESSION – is the naturally process by which a community of organisms in an ecosystem gradually replaces another.

Changes in the Ecosystem

PRIMARY SUCCESSION – primary succession on a bare rock takes place for a long period of time. The build up of soil on a bare rock occurs when it is weathered by wind or air.

Changes in the Ecosystem

SECONDARY SUCCESSION – secondary succession occurs when condition of the environment has been disturbed. Forest fires, human activities, like farming and deforestation, and geological activities change the condition of the environment.
