Teacher Professional Development Workshop Description This full day Earth Science instructional development workshop will include a hands-on learning session at the Palais des congrès de Montreal, followed by a visit to the Redpath Museum, McGill University. The themes of the workshop will explore:
Earth science classroom teaching resources and activities;
the geology of the Montreal area;
the Redpath Collection; and
curriculum connections Date: Thursday May 7 Schedule 8:45 - 9:00 Registration, Welcome, Coffee 9:00 - 11:30 Earth Science hands on learning session, focusing on classroom teaching 11:30 - 12:30 Walking Tour and lunch 12:30 - 1:30 Facilitated tour of the Redpath Museum 1:30 - 2:30 Redpath Exhibits 2:30 - 3:00 Workshop Debrief and Evaluations The workshop is of interest to elementary, secondary and CEGEP (Junior College) Educators, including those in social studies, science and geography.
