Overcoming Fear

You can't expect to recognize your fears in the morning andhave them all conquered by lunch. These things take time.

Here are some steps to follow:

- Shine a light on your fears. This is where you discover what's really holding you back. Most people are in denial, or they can't see their fears clearly. You'll find out how to uncover your deepest fears when you join the Dynamic Productivity site.

- Deprogram the fear. Once you can toss aside the denial and admit what's holding you back, then you need to "deprogram" yourself. This is where you use positive affirmations and other exercises to get over your mental stumbling blocks.

For example, if you find out your afraid to move forward because your friends will disapprove, you need to realize that anyone who doesn't support you isn't a true friend.

You might need to affirm this by saying things like, "My true friends support me and love when I succeed."

- Take action. One of the best ways to melt fear is to simply start taking action, even if it's the tiniest of baby steps.

One note about that last tip: it doesn't do you any good totake random steps, which is why you'll discover how to take

the right kind of action next time!
