Coaching – Micro Analysis of Communication

Coach 1: Thank you for coming and welcome. We have about 50 minstogether today. I’d like these to be of value to you. What needs to happen here today so that you can leave saying this was worthwhile to you.

Client 2: Well, I came because I need to make a decision. It may have a big impact on my life and some other people’s lives. I want the opinion of an outsider - talking to my friends isn’t helping at all.

Coach 3: So how close are you to making this decision?

Client 4: I was close, but now I am more confused than ever (looks expectantly at the coach)

Coach 5: So what are you hoping our conversation today can contribute to what you are facing?

Client 6: I hope you can help me clear the fog and I can leave more confident that I will make the right decision
