Does money buy happiness? Scrooge is a perfect example of the idea that money does not buy happiness. He has as much as anyone could want. However, he isn’t happy. Scrooge is selfish and he hates Christmas. He says: “I see people spending more money than they have. I see work stopping and money lost for a day that is just like another day! If I could, I would cancel Christmas and make everyone work twice as hard” So he hates Christmas and he thinks that is humbug. I think that Scrooge is selfish because he hasn’t got family and he hasn’t got any friends. In my opinion, money doesn't bring happiness, but sometimes it helps. There are a lot of things that brings happiness, like family, friends and sometimes in sharing with poor people and helping others, we find happiness. Money can take away some stress, which will make you a little bit happier, but true happiness comes from your heart, not your wallet. SIMINA MOLDOVAN 3ESO B

Does money buy happiness? Scrooge is a perfect example of the idea that money does not buy

happiness. He has as much as anyone could want. However, he isn’t

happy.

Scrooge is selfish and he hates Christmas. He says: “I see people

spending more money than they have. I see work stopping and money

lost for a day that is just like another day! If I could, I would cancel

Christmas and make everyone work twice as hard”

So he hates Christmas and he thinks that is humbug. I think that Scrooge

is selfish because he hasn’t got family and

he hasn’t got any friends.

In my opinion, money doesn't bring

happiness, but sometimes it helps. There

are a lot of things that brings happiness,

like family, friends and sometimes in

sharing with poor people and helping

others, we find happiness.

Money can take away some stress, which

will make you a little bit happier, but true

happiness comes from your heart, not your

wallet.
