The documentary is about Pokemon and how or if it impacts people lives. I'm going to be asking people who play and

people who don't their opinions.

The idea behind my documentary is to see what people think about the Pokemon franchise and if they think it's going to last and why they play and do they think is addicting. I also want to find out if players think that it's bad for children because some feel that because you're making

animals fight it could be a bad message for them and if this really is the case. I also want to get an idea of

the Pokemon that people use and why they use those Pokemon.

FADE IN - INT. - STUDENT CENTER - DAY

The student centre is near empty. There are 3/4 people sitting on sofas playing pokemon on handheld devises.

INTERVIEWERWhat drives you to play Pokemon?

ADAMI really enjoy the idea of going on a long adventure in a fantasy world, as it provides an escape

INTERVIEWERWhere do you play Pokemon and how long for?

ADAMI enjoy playing pokemon in my room, on the bus and sometimes if I have a free in my timetable. I play it because it is entertaining.

Cut to adam playing pokemon.It depends on how long I have free but normally about an hour.

INTERVIEWERDo they think you are obsessed/addicted?

ADAMI don't think so because I never feel like I am dependent on playing to enjoy me free time. But when the games first come out I can play for much longer as it is a new experience.

INTERVIEWERWhat do you think makes Pokemon fun to play?

ADAMI think pokemon is fun because of the adventure element of it, it is also very satisfying levels up as it gives you a sense of accomplishment. Also in the games there is the ideal if beating the elite four and the champion you is your rival from the begging but there is also the added incentive of ending the cooperation that is trying to manipulate the legendary pokemon for evil uses.

INTERVIEWERTell us about the Pokemon card game. Do you or have you ever played it?

ADAMNo I never really got into the game. I did try, but to buy all of the packs and to find someone else

to play with when no one I know was interested in the game I found it to much of a hassle.

INTERVIEWERA well-known phrase from Pokemon is 'Gotta catch them all'.

Cut back to Adams room.Have you ever tried to catch them all?

ADAMI have tried to catch them all in each game I own but because of restrictions and the amount of pokemon I ended up losing

INTERVIEWERDo you have a favourite Pokemon or Pokemon type?

ADAMMy favourite pokemon type is electric because the animations for there moves look cool and they are only week to one other type.

Cut away of Adam watching TV.My favourite pokemon is luxray because I like his design i think it looks cool.

INTERVIEWERDo you feel that the games have an influence on children? Is this positive or negative?

ADAMYeah I do think the games have an impact. I think it's positive because it teaches them companionship and compassion towards there pokemon and it makes them think more strategically.

Cut away to Adam playing with baby sister. I understand why some people would think that it's negative because you are making animals fight but i think that because the do not look like animals of this world that children could tell the difference. There is also a big emphasis on how the pokemon are our friends and we should treat them respectfully.

INTERVIEWERDo you watch the anime or just play the games or both?

ADAMI do both I do watch the anime but I do not watch the anime passionately every week the new episodes come out.

Cut away of stuff in adams room. But when i was younger i used to watch the show and others like it and really enjoyed them as it was something really close to the games.

INTERVIEWERDo you think that the Pokemon franchise end in the near future?

ADAMI think it will end eventually, all things have to, but not any time soon as the franchise is so well known and has a large presence in today, as it has a large fanbase and more children to find the games to play them. Also with the amount of merchandise available I don't think it will be forgotten soon.
