Due to our choice of genre, we wanted to create a story to our music video. Our video will begin with our title sequence and then a panning shot of a male walking down a street. We will then show an argument between two people but we do not know who the male is having the dispute with. We will then show the male walking up the street. He will then be shown sat in a park where a little boy sees him with his mother and they gain eye contact with each other, this will suggest that the female is of family relation. During the storyline there will be contemporary dance which will express the storyline in a physical way. The frustration on the male will be shown through many different aspects. By the end of the video we will see what seems like the same man walking down the same street but dresses sophisticatedly with a single rose in his hand, knocks on the door and hugs a woman, the camera will then pan round to photos of the mother an son growing up etc.

Main character/protagonist – Callum Brown Callum is our main character in our music video, we have chosen him for this video as he fits the storyline very well, due to him being a young man, many people can relate to his situation. By doing a story line in which it involves family and relationships with mother and son. We want the impact to be big when the ending is revealed. His body language, height, persona, looks, we felt were all right for the role.

We have chosen two outfits for out main character, our first being grey joggers and a black t-shirt. This is stereotypically very juvenile and young which is what out character begins being.

Our second outfit for our main character is a white shirt, black jeans and a sort of trench coat. This is more sophisticated and represents our characters growth thought the video. We wanted to show how our character has ‘grown up’ and changed.

We have decided to have our dancer in all black dance kit. By doing this it contends to the very monotone tones of the genre and conforms to the tones of how we would like our video to be.
