Introduction Welcome to the land of the dinosaurs.

In this adventure, you and your partner are about to become famous paleontologists. You will discover a new type of dinosaur. You will have to present your discovery to the world.

Your Task As a paleontologist your assignment is

to: • Research different types of dinosaurs from the three

periods of The Mesozoic Era. • Detail how various dinosaurs looked and acted. • Include where and when they lived.• Group dinosaurs by their likenesses and differences.• Once you have a good understanding of what

dinosaurs were all about, create your own dinosaur. • Your final task will be to present your discovery to

the world.

As a palentologist: You and your partner must:

Name your newly discovered dinosaur Provide a picture of the fossil Provide a likeness of how the dinosaur looked when it

was alive Describe the characteristics of the dinosaur including

what it ate, where it lived, when it lived, and what other creatures existed during the same period

You must also come to a conclusion as to why you believe your dinosaur became extinct

Use evidence from your research on dinosaurs to support your discovery
