EREPS has been a central theme of EHFA’s thinking since 2005 Business plan developed in 2006-2007 and approved in principle by EHFA Board early 2008 Principles of modus operandi taken to GA and approved in April 2008 Then “tested” at EHFA’s 1st fitness forum Hilversum May EREPS came into operation July 2008 withtrial period to test systems EA Fitness Project starts in October ‘08

5 stages for implementation
The European Register of Exercise Professionals

Stage 1
Nominated agent/partner to accept the concepts and key principles – usually national
association
Stage 2
Complete a short questionnaire that determines eligibility, resources available,
and timing for implementation. EHFA confirms if criteria is being satisfactorily met
Stage 3
A letter of offer made by EHFA to start the detailed planning stage with the nominated partner/agent. This will bind both EHFA and
the partner/agent into an exclusivity arrangement for a limited period of 60 days
whilst stage 4 is fully developed.
Stage 4
EHFA SC offers Memorandum of Understanding and Trust (MoUT) and EREPS
a draft service level of agreement. Agent/partner develops business plan. Final proposal presented to the EHFA Board for approval and for the MoUT signed by the
Chairperson of the EHFA Standards Council.
