DESCRIPTION

In recent years the importance of developing employability skills as part of university education has gained considerable attention. This presentation shows how a student’s experience of vlogging, via YouTube, has led to his development of key skills desired by today’s employer including: the ability to communicate; the confidence to present and accept criticism and an aptitude for creativity. In addition the talk demonstrates as to how vlogging enables him to go beyond achieving technological and socially-based skills, helping him to cultivate a personal value system and student identity .
