Natural lighting was used throughout the opening few minutes when the filming was done outside on the streets.

Also lighting in the building that were produced by the lampshades and light bulbs that were part of the set design.

You can tell the setting of the film by the props used. Down in the streets between all the buildings were the stereotypical yellow taxis that suggest that they are in New York.

The groups of characters at the beginning are all wearing masks to cover their faces.

The group are all wearing suits as well which suggests that they are fulfilling a job and by wearing an outfit that most men wear they are less recognisable in a crowd.

After a few minutes into the film one character appears wearing the Batman costume which represents to entire film.

The atmosphere of the film is established during the first few minutes of the opening. It is very intense as right from the start they are shooting and killing people just to get what they want.

A gun shot is heard every time a character in the film dies from being shot.

You also hear glass breaking when one of the men smashed a window in a building so he can go down the zip wire.
