Curbing Distractions
No. Strategies
Social Media, YouTube
and Facebook
Take back your mornings – start your day with your to do list – instead of logging onThe first 15 minutes of every morning is important, motivate yourself, think positive, and do positive (constructive) things.Celebrate your successes. Use social media/YouTube/Facebook as a reward – small rewards for small successesYou owe it to yourself to say – “not one more!”Avoid spending time online an hour before bed, the visual stimulation encourages brain activity – the stimulation keeps you awake, and you struggle sleep – hence, protect your sleepSet time aside to go on social media, and stick to that time. 10 minutes every session, three sessions a day = 30 minutes per day. That’s equal to 2.5 hours per week (research says this is what we should allocate wrt time management and dedicating time to social media). That’s 10 hours per month! How awesome is that. Start following people that only share things you have in common, things you are interested in; else your newsfeed has irrelevant information and takes you longer to find that one interesting post!
Plan strategies to eliminate these time wasters/ distractors…
