Initially, I started out with 5 possible cover photos. However, after much analysis and deliberation, I managed to find the perfect shot!
The first image didn’t work out because the model looked too serious and I felt as if the readers would not get attracted to the magazine if the person on the front cover didn’t look exciting.
The second image wasn’t chosen because the model was in the midst of laughing and also I felt as if her posture was uninviting to the reader.
In the next image, the model’s student ID badge was covered and I wanted to readers to see that she is a student just like them but also gives them advice, so they would feel more comfortable.
The following image made it seem as if the model was carefree and I didn’t like that since I wanted to portray the “Agony aunt” as someone trustworthy rather than laidback.
Finally, I got a shot that presented the model being serious but happy at the same time. You could also see her student ID badge which was important.
