The dark clothing represents the character’s personality where the detective is quite mysterious and introverted. Also, it includes the generic conventions of a thriller e.g the hat is quite common for detectives (Sherlock Holmes). The trainers is put in brackets because it’s not going to be a part of this character’s usual clothing and is going to be used for another scene for this character but the scene would only include the bottom half of the character to fit our synopsis for the film opening.

The detective’s partner (Shane Allen) clothing would be contrast against detective Emma Lee where he would have colour in his wardrobe. He will be wearing red, white and black to symbolising the conventions of a thriller. The black (jeans and coat)represents the mystery in this thriller, the red symbolises blood which links to danger and the white is to represent the truth/ purity and symbolising hope.

For this character, the clothing would be casual and look very victimized so, nothing special or anything that would make this character stand out so that the audience don’t question this character or inquire about the personality as this character doesn’t play a huge role. The audience should only feel remorse and sympathy.

The victim’s costume:Check/tartan shirt
