BELIEFS CIACI VIP English maintains certain beliefs and ensures that these beliefs are evident
in each and every class. We believe that every class should be interactive, student and
teacher led, motivating, educational, and fun. With this belief it is our understanding
that each student will effectively develop their skills and confidence regarding the
usage of the English language.
In this era of globalization the need for English increases rapidly on the daily basis.
Business and education is not only conducted domestically but internationally as well.
Presently citizens of non-English speaking countries are preparing for and gearing
towards studying abroad and some may even join the international workforce where
the language used and culture is greatly different from their own. International
traveling increases in popularity every year and it is absolutely essential that the
hospitality and tourism industry has very strong English skills. In hotels, it is
important that every employee from the General Manager all the way to the cleaning
staff can effectively and efficiently communicate in English. Lack of awareness or
failure to adapt to the international trend can ultimately lead to being left behind in
and ever so changing world with limited connections, resources, and opportunities for
success. We at CIACI firmly believe in excellence in English and English for success
with the mindset that each and every one of our customers/students is a Very
Important Person.

CUSTOMERS Our customer base mainly consists of schools, and companies that desire to enrich
and develop their English ability. We have had partnerships with Bank Saudara, PT.
LEN, PT. Pridhana Eka, Darul Hikam, Biofarma, ITENAS, UNPAD, PT. Denso
Indonesia, and Shafira Corporation. Our goal in schools is to provide intense and
extra- curricular English education in an interesting way while meeting the needs and
requirements of the curriculum.
Our goal in companies is to provide specific English training for specific purposes
that are in line with job duties and functions of the corporate environment. What is
learned by students can directly be implemented and utilized in the day to day work
environment.
Thus, what CIACI gives connects with and re-enforces the needs and requirements of
our customers not in a general but specific way.
METHODOLOGY CIACI VIP English uses qualified English teachers to teach our customers and
specializes in Conversation and Business English. Since we use the communicative
approach to teaching, we believe that it is absolutely vital that each and every student
gains exposure to real Native English accents. We also utilize educational games to
spark the interest of our students and to motivate them to learn and practice speaking
English. We believe that in order for our students to be well-rounded, our teachers
and lessons should be well-rounded as well.
Communicative and Interactive Approach with Culture Integration
-Not only should one understand the language, but the culture as well
4
CIACI is not just our name; it is also the method that we use when we teach English.
There are many organizations and schools that claim to effectively teach English, but
often very essential elements are sacrificed for more concentration on memorizing
and understanding of correct grammatical structure. Through research and
development, we have figured out the method of teaching that allows our students to
effectively understand and communicate in English appropriately and accurately.
Communicative and Interactive Approach (CIA)
- Direct
Instruction and training from teachers is conducted in English and
students are encouraged to respond only in English in a positive way
without fear of making mistakes.
- Lexical
Instead of teaching parts of sentences, whole phrases or sentences are
taught and learned in order to encourage and develop expression that
represents complete thoughts.
- Social
The learning process is very communicative and interactive. Everyone has
a chance to contribute to the lessons and share ideas and questions with
others, which is very different from lecture based education.
5
- Conceptual
The function of grammatical structure, tenses, and other elements of
English is taught as to provide understanding and accuracy of oral and
written expression that are in line with purpose.
- Situational
Certain language and structure is taught with certain situation as to
provide scripted language that is associated with day to day occurrences
in life. This encourages rapid and fluid speech by providing preset
vocabulary and structure relating to specific situations.
- Drilling
Students are drilled until the learned material is memorized and feels as
natural as possible.
Culture Integration (CI)
- Awareness
Students are aware of various elements of the culture behind the language.
- Understanding
Students understand how the culture shapes the way native speakers of
English express themselves.
- Harmony
Students can effectively express themselves with very few problems
regarding miscommunication and the offense of others.

PLACEMENT TESTING As an added incentive, we provide all placement testing at no cost to our customers.
This testing allows us to analyze and evaluate our potential students’ current English
ability and provides us with essential knowledge that is absolutely necessary when
placing them in a level. We try to group students together according to their English
ability as to provide smoother classes and ensure that each and every student is
challenged and not left behind.
CERTIFICATES In order to receive a certificate of achievement at the end of each course, the student
must attend at least 70 percent of all the classes and participate in any final tests or
project work if applicable. The awarding of a certificate does not depend on grades,
but on participation. Basically, if a student maintains a 70 percent attendance or
better and participates in any required task, a certificate will be rewarded without
question. Not only will each student be eligible for a certificate, we also provide a
detailed performance report at the end of the course for each and every student.

RESULTS Our goal as educators of English is to instill in each and every one of our students a
