The layout of the column down the side of the page is very neat and tidy. This makes it much easier for the reader to find what they’re looking for and makes the whole page look professional. The sub-images used shows a range of different emotions, the end image on the right hand side of the page shows a shocked looking woman which could suggest that she has some shocking information; this could be told inside of her article. The headline ‘Contents’ is providing the audience with the knowledge that this page will help them locate the things they want to read or look at without having to flick through the whole magazine to find it.

’17-page collector’s special’ showing that this magazine is going to contain some exclusive information; it is going to contain information about the artists that the audience have always wanted to know.

The logo is small because it is such a well-known magazine it doesn’t need to be in a big font.

The main image is quite an iconic pose for the artist, Alex Turner. He is stood with his head to the side so you can see his famous Grease inspired hair style that everyone knows and loves.

This contents page has a very simple colour scheme; it contains the traditional ‘Q’ colours: red, white and black. This suggests that this magazine is quite basic because it is only about the music not the complexity of the layout. This is good for their target audience, which are teenagers. This would suit them because they don’t care about how the magazine looks they only care about the information that they hold.

Page numbers are made to stand out, this is so you can easily locate the article which you want to read instead of aimlessly flicking through until you find it.
