page of a magazine that is called ‘academy magazine contents’ very basic and easy to understand.

Once you open the contents page the first thing that catches your eye, are the vast amount of photos laid out vertically down the left side of the page. The images make the page more appealing and it is important to include a contents page as it’s vital in making the readers experience more enjoyable by searching for certain stories or information with ease.

The layout of the cover page is simple, it has topics going down the right hand side labelling what is in each page and what topic it is under, they are labelled with numbers for what page they can be found on which makes it easier to find what you are looking for instead of flicking through pages of rubbish you can just go straight to your desired page. They laid out the page so well it’s not flooded with useless information, it has a few eye catching photos to attract the reader’s attention and the writing on the right is colour labelled, the page numbers

are brown and the writing on the page is coloured in yellow giving us an idea of their house style. It seems to be informal which for teenagers is a bonus making it more appealing and less of a burden to read, to the writing colour, to the layout of the pictures it gives the whole thing a casual look to and page isn’t filled with mountains of useless information, just a few pictures and the relevant information. The images on the page are basic on pupils are the school making it relatable to the pupils reading the magazine, they kept the writing plain and simple with a bright colour to make it sand out making its an overall enjoyable experience.

The mode of address of this magazine is informal in its appearance and speaks to mainly the teenagers (pupils) which shows that they thought of their audience before publishing aiming at the pupils of the school, this shows this magazine is based mainly for the pupils and less teachers and parents making the pupils feel important and respected enough to have a magazine published to keep them informed.
