Conditionals have two parts: An if clause and a main clause.

 When the if clause comes first, we use a comma between the  two clauses.                                                     When the main clause                         comes first, we don't use                          a comma.

Example:

                      it breaks  If  you  drop an egg.

 The zero conditional is used:

  a) for instructions:

  If you select reverse gear, the car goes backwards.                         If the camera is on, a red light appears.  

How to use the 0 Conditional?

b) for general truths:

  If he has no money, he doesn't go out.        Linn always says hello when / if he sees you.

* If has the same meaning as when here*

In both, if clause and main clause, we use the Present Simple Tense.

And it expresses facts that are always true

Form:if + present simple          present simple

  If you press the button, the machine switches off.

   

or present simple               if + present simple

The machine switches off if you press this button.

    She doesn't get some money If she  doesn't work  hard

Present simple negative sentence

  In this case we use the negative auxiliaries of Present      simple tense don't or doesn't + infinitive verb.
