Top 5 Highly Effective Brain Training Exercises

1. Deep Breathing

2. Motor Co-ordination

3. Concentration Games

4. Playing Family Games

5. Regular Communication and Knowledge Sharing with Kids

Deep BreathingIn this exercise, kids imagine feeling their breath travelling in different areas of their body. They begin by breathing in through their nose and then releasing air through the nose too.

In the second stage, kids are asked to breathe in air through the nose and take the air into the chest level and then breathe out.

Motor Co-ordination

There are a number of brain body exercises that helps to improve motor skills including:

•Toe wiggling, where kids are required to move both the toes up and down as soon as they get up from bed.

•Using the unnatural hand to perform regular functions like eating and writing.

•Learning to play electronic keyboard or piano.

Concentration Games

Kids can be shown a number of objects that are placed on a table. After half an hour, when the kids are in a different place, they can be asked to recollect all the objects that were placed on the table.

Parents can take a photo image of the objects and store in their smart device for future reference - or as proof!

Playing Family Games

Family card games like Uno, Hearts, Go Fish and Speed and board games like Monopoly, Chess and Checkers help kids to improve on their problem solving, co-ordination and planning skills.

Playing Online Games

There are a number of free and quality online gaming sites that provide a wide category of brain games including hand-eye coordination games, logic games and memory games. By playing the right games, kids can enhance their memory retention.

Regular Communication and Knowledge Sharing

Most importantly, parents need to regularly communicate with their kids and try to understand their various problems and difficulties from their side.

This will help them to communicate freely with their parents and open up on issues that are bothering them. In addition to acquiring better communication skills, kids get to spend additional quality time with their parents.
